Going Back To A Few Past Calls...

Since I have just started this, I just want to go back to what i've heard recently on the scanner. Remember, these are not official accounts of the police call, but what came over the scanner as the calls were dispatched initially....

The first item that I was actually surprised about -

......... was a call that was received that a 11 year old boy was struck by a school bus on Worcester's busiest streets - Belmont St. The police responded to this call and found the boy unconcious. While the officer was calling in the scene, you can hear a female screaming and crying -- it was quite chilling. The surprise was that the Worcester Telegram & Gazzette had no accounting of this incident in the newspaper. I even e-mailed them to tip them off, but to no avail.

A shocking call -

.......A call was received from a woman saying that her male pit-bull dog was attacking the female dog and that the male would not get off the female dog. The caller stated there was blood all over the place. The female dog apparently had pups as well. The Animal Control Unit and other police officers had responded to the call. Once the officers had arrived on the scene they radioed back to dispatch that there was blood all over the place. It was indicated that the male dog had jumped out of the window and starting running towards the busy Grafton Street area near Walgreens. Officers tracked the dog down and cornered it. It was reported back to dispatch that the dog had to be shot to neutralize it. About 4 shots were fired at the dog.

And in this early AM blog -

.............Police responded to a call by a father to get police assistance with his 16 year old son who was having sexual intercourse with a 15 year old girl. Call came in as a domestic abuse situation. Police took 15 yr old girl home to the parents to have a talk with them.....
